ELECT to Reach Your Sales Goals in 2012
With today being Election Day, I thought it would be fun to put a twist on it and talk about the top five steps you can “elect” to reach your sales goals in the New Year.
1) Analyze where you would like to be in the short term (2012) and three years from now. If you don’t know where you are going, any path will take you there. But, if you have a clear vision of where you are heading, the path you need to take will be all the more apparent.
2) Determine how much new sales revenue you are looking to generate in the New Year and break it down per month. Make sure the goal is reasonable & measureable.
3) Make a plan of action that will help you reach your new monthly sales goal. Are you going to make 5 extra sales calls a day/a week? Will you attend three more networking events each month? Or will you blog more or interact on Social Media more to attract traffic to your website?
4) Join forces with other professionals that can provide you with resources to help reach your goal. Maybe signing up with a business coach or mentor will help you reach your goal. Or consult with your sales and marketing team to discuss new, invigorating ways to attract customers.
